Electric Owl Studios is now accepting applications for the Summer 2024 Film Internship Program!

If you are an undergrad in your Senior year, a recent graduate, or a graduate student looking to take a deep dive into the film & TV industry, we’d love to hear from you.

The Electric Owl Studios Internship Program provides a hands-on, one-of-a-kind experience for those who want to learn about all facets of physical production, studio operations, project development, and more. In addition to providing the most comprehensive internship in Georgia, our goal is to help all of our interns secure jobs within the industry.

Internship Outline:

  • Learn how a physical production studio operates
  • Shadow various departments of a film and/or TB show during production
  • Attend roundtable discussions with industry professionals
  • Read scripts and provide script coverage
  • Meet directly with studio owners to learn more about the business of film & TV
  • Gain an understanding of the acting process, from creative and business perspectives
  • Learn about (environmental) sustainability in film & TV production
  • Attend industry events (awards ceremonies, Atlanta Film Festival, WIFTA, etc)
  • Produce a short film with fellow interns
  • Perform general office duties


  • Proof of current school enrollment (College Transcript or College Letter)
  • Resume
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be able to work onsite at Electric Owl
  • Must have own transportation to and from Electric Owl
  • High sense of discretion required
  • Verbal customer service and phone etiquette are essential
  • Must be Mac & PC literate
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Must have completed or are completing at least one film-related course
  • Must be passionate about film & TV


Internship duration: June 10-July 31, 2024 (8 weeks)

Time Requirements: 3 days per week (4 hours per day)

Compensation: $15 per hour
