Accounting Specialist 

Part-time: 20 hours per week (hybrid)

Location: Atlanta, GA

Industry: Film & TV Studio Property Management & Real Estate Development

Electric Owl Studios is the world’s first purpose-built LEED Gold certified film and TV studio, renowned for being the greenest studio on Earth. We are a growing film & TV real estate company focused on creating entertainment infrastructure projects that drive economic growth and improve communities. The company is seeking a detail-oriented, Part-time Accounting Specialist to manage day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting activities.

Position Summary:

The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, processing payroll support, and assisting with quarterly and year-end financial reporting. This role works closely with outside auditors and helps ensure the company’s accounting processes run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accounts receivable
  • Enter and track weekly customer payments
  • Process and pay vendor invoices and bills
  • Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly and year-end financial reports
  • Coordinate with outside auditors during audits and financial reviews
  • Support payroll processing and reporting through ADP
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Maintain vendor and customer records
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Prepare accounting reports and spreadsheets as needed
  • Support general bookkeeping and administrative accounting functions

Qualifications Required:

  • 3–5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • High school diploma required
  • Strong experience with QuickBooks Online
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience handling accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred:

  • Experience in real estate development, property management, entertainment, construction, or related industries
  • Experience working with external auditors
  • Familiarity with ADP payroll systems
